Len Brown
Director/Filmmaker
As the director at Akron Video Makers, Len Brown brings his 30+ years of experience to provide our clients with the top-quality work they expect. Len has been producer, director, and founder of Beacon Productions LLC. Over the years he has put together an incredibly strong, Emmy Award winning team of professionals who help produce a variety of programs. His experience includes all aspects of video production from working behind the camera to the final phases of post production. He has produced and worked on a number of programs for cable television, including, “Ships of the Great Lakes.” a documentary about life on a 1,000 ft freighter that has aired on PBS stations around the Great Lakes region. In addition to producing and directing, Len has spent time teaching video production as an adjunct instructor at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Len was also a videographer and reporter for WSBT- CBS and WNDU-NBC South Bend, Indiana and has worked as a cameraman on the set of many national television productions including the NFL Network. Len is a member of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), the Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The International Documentary Association in Los Angeles, CA., as well as a number of historical societies around the country.
Paul Moskowitz

After a decade of successful sales, and as Advertising Director at Cleveland Magazine and Great Lakes Publishing Company,
Paul Moskowitz transitioned to his next big adventure by starting Akron Publishing Company, LLC. in 1998, which experienced significant growth after introducing the Cultural Arts Advertising Package for the various arts organizations serving the Northeast Ohio arts patrons. In 2014, Paul met and began collaborating with Len Brown of Beacon Productions, LLC on an exciting new live-streaming venture called Poker On Air that had viewers from all over the world. In a very short time, Len and Paul decided to collaborate on another adventure by creating Akron Video Makers with the goal of providing creative, high-quality, and cost-effective cinematic videos for businesses in the entire Northeast Ohio region.
